You Get What You Get And Don T Be Upset

The use of this phrase originated from Episode 36:

There was a birthday circle at Merlin’s daughter’s school’s where one kid would bring presents for everybody. They used to say ”You get what you get and don’t be upset!”, which is both useful and passive aggressive. John would like to say the same to all the 40-year olds who complain that they are not rich. John and Merlin continue to talk about different ways to enunciate the phrase and how that changes the meaning.
