RL109 - #SuperVan

This week, Merlin and John talk about

The problem: "John could negotiate an arrangement", referring to him having agreed with his grade school teachers to leave him alone and let him write book reports instead of following the lessons and doing his assignments.

The show title refers to the GMC RV that is like a larger van, the SuperVan

At the beginning of the show, John says he is covered in pee because he was watching and potty-training his daughter, and she was covered with pee.

Merlin remarks that every day somebody is born who never seen The Flintstones or who has never had a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. Merlin and John miss commercial jingles from the 1970:s and 1980:s. "Hey man, is that freedom rock? Turn it up!" became a meta-commercial in the culture, something that Kurt Cobain would say to Chris Cornell backstage. Only old men would get the reference that was already a mocking reference to old men. So here they are, two guys in their 40:s sitting around and trading commercial jingles, it is how John wants to spend the last 15 years of his life: sitting with John Wulff (who?) on the porch and talk about commercials because they don't have a war to talk about.
